- According to candidates’ merit ranks, candidates whose names will be enlisted in the state merit list will be called for the HP NEET counselling process.
- Applicants must register for HP NEET Counselling admission from the official website.
- Then candidates must make their choices/preferences of courses and colleges according to their importance for the seat allotment process.
- Candidates allotted seats in HP NEET Counselling admission must report at the allotted colleges within the specified dates and timings.

The Atal Medical and Research University, HP, will conduct the counseling process on behalf of the Government of Himachal Pradesh (Department of Medical Education & Research) through a Centralized Counseling Committee established by the Government of Himachal Pradesh. This committee was formed as per Notification No.HFW-B(B)-12-4/2013-I-Loose(Part) dated 15.03.2016, and subsequent Corrigendum of even number dated 19.03.2016, under the leadership of the Director of Medical Education & Research, Himachal Pradesh. The purpose of this committee is to fill State and Management/NRI Quota seats in Government Medical/Dental Colleges, including private unaided Medical/Dental Colleges in Himachal Pradesh, based on the performance of qualified candidates in the NEET-UG examination conducted by the National Testing Agency.
The rules and regulations outlined in the prospectus have been formulated and approved by the Government of Himachal Pradesh, aligning with the guidelines provided by the Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India for MBBS/BDS course admissions. Qualified candidates are mandated to apply exclusively through the University’s website within the designated timeframe. This centralized online counseling process will encompass 85% of the State Quota Seats, encompassing reserved seats for Children of J&K Migrants, Children of Tibetan Refugees, NRI candidates, and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) in Government Medical/Dental Colleges, as well as the seats for Private Un-aided Medical/Dental Colleges. Therefore, the allocation of seats (100%) will also be in accordance with the seat distribution detailed in the prospectus through this counseling process.
